Phil reports the following changes are being made to the Rally Rhybudd MG for the 2001 season, in part to comply with the new SCCA Historic ClubRally category. He writes:
- We ARE replacing the SPAX rear dampers with heavy-duty valved stock-type lever arm dampers.
- "Ignitor" in-distributor electronic ignition module will be replaced with points/condenser, quite likely a Mallory dual-point setup.
- Gearbox now has factory competition-mod close ratio / straight cut gear set.
- Addition of Hella fogs...brings total forward lighting to 840 watts.
"The car won't be ready for Sno*Drift, so we're working (radio / med). We've registered for Historic Class / ClubRallies at Cherokee Trails, and planned season includes STPR, Maine, Ojibwe, and LSPR."
